Stoneware · hand-glazed · fired above 1200 °C
The rim is a ribbon of clay, pinched and folded by hand until it stands like a hedge around the bowl. In the kiln the glaze bloomed into amber and blue freckles — a firing effect that can be invited, never ordered.
It came out of the kiln looking like a field in late summer, and the name stuck.
Care
Glazed stoneware, food safe. Hand wash — the ribbon rim prefers not to argue with a dishwasher rack.
